What’s an LED?

LED stands for ‘Light Emitting Diode’ LED are tiny compared to normal lamps. They are very bright for their size, use very little electricity, produce virtually no heat and can be switched on and off quickly. They also last for thousands of hours so are currently the most environmentally friendly light source on the planet.
