Michael Coulten - Newmarket

Michael Coulten needed a large marquee lit effectively in June 2006. The marquee was 15 metres wide by 35 metres long. It was also open on one side hand had a very low ceiling at the corners which prevented the use of lighting on tripods. In addition, the marquee’s power was fed from a nearby house from a standard socket so power was limited to 13 amps. The solution was 16 Venue Paint uplighters carefully placed between the inner lining and the outer wall of the marquee.

Guests were not aware of the uplighters, which gradually faded up as the sun set. The system was locked to the colour red for the first part of the evening until the entertainment started, where upon VENUE Paint was set to scroll random colours to the beat of the music. Total Cost - Less than £500

ITFC Blues Foundation Launch

The Ipswich Town Football Club required their large gym, the chosen location of the Blues Foundation Launch, to be transformed – quickly and on budget. The Gym has 11m high white walls which felt bleak. The gym also only had a single 13amp socket. Traditional lighting would have required the hiring of a large diesel generator which proved to be too noisy and it would prove too costly to install drapes, so the club turned to VENUE Paint.

20 uplighters were used to project the clubs corporate colour, blue, onto the walls. Like a giant blank canvass, the white walls reacted excellently to the VENUE Paint system. Click here to see pictures of this event in our gallery.

Total CostLess than £600

Becki Harrision – Elveden

Becki Harrison was planning a spectacular wedding to be held at Elveden Hall near to Thetford forest. The hall which has been used as a filming location for Tomb Raider, Eyes Wide Shut & James Bond has a stunning central room, made from hundreds of tones of solid marble standing 5 storeys high. Although beautiful the marble is not particularly colourful for a Wedding celebration. Power on site was limited due to ongoing restoration work and the use of traditional lighting was not allowed (due to high heat levels used close to the priceless marble wall) The ‘bride to be’ opted for Venue Paint. A system of 16 uplighters was suggested by our team, who actually only needed 15 on the day to light 3 individual balcony areas, 2 large columns and a large fire place.

The end result? An already beautiful venue made even more beautiful for one special day. The images speak for themselves. Click here to see pictures of this event in our gallery.

Total CostLess than £400
